Learning Aim A
What is reproduction?
Reproduction is the planning which is previously done before the filming. So this is things such as choosing the cast members, writing down the script, where the location will take place, the
costume design and to ensure that there is a health and safety risk assessment to ensure that no one gets hurt whilst the filming is taking place.
Pre production Harry potter and the deathly hallows
Harry Potter and the deathly of hallows was made in the UK.

The main characters who participate are Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint. Furthermore, the first deathly hallows had to remain within its budget of $250,000,000.

When filming the first part of the deathly hallows it was supposedly scheduled to finish within 250 days
( 8/9 months) however, it took much longer and in fact was about 478 days (15/16 months). Harry Potter would have not been able to run without Warner Bros, which is an American company based in California, US.

The film Harry Potter was filmed all over Britain and many of what was filmed are still there. For example one of the places where it was filmed in was platform 9, which is actually kings cross station as well as St Pancras station. Furthermore, places like Hogwarts had been filmed in Alnwick Castle, Gloucester Cathedral and Christ Church.

The pre-production and production process took around 14 months in total to complete and it cost Warner Bros around $130 million.
The final Harry Potter series began in 2009. Both of the deathly hallows was written by a man known as Steve Kloves, and directed by David Yates.

One of the Harry Potter film, known as the Half-Blood Prince was delayed for up to 8 months. When the president was asked about what happened he replied that nothing was wrong when shooting, but the film was being moved to take advantage of a free weekend in the busy summer schedule.

During the filming off all the Harry Potter films, some characters had either passed away like Dumbledore or no longer chosen to be in the films, therefore they had to find some replacements, however some actors did not want to be in the film and kindly rejected this opportunity. For example, the character who was supposedly needed to replace Dumbledore, as the one playing fell ill, and unfortunately had passed away, his name was Christopher Lee, he was the perfect one but decided to refuse due to Harris' death which was distasteful.

The feeling of being watched
The film that I decided was The feeling of being watched which is a documentary, which is documented by Assia Boundaoui, who also was the producer with Jessica
Devaney and Alex Bushe. The film was quite recent as they released it last year in 2018. This film that I researched is funded by Kickstarter.

The campaign made about $33,057 to help bring THIS project to life. This film was produced to the fact that the producer Boundaoui believed that her family and neighbours were targeted by law enforcement as well as those around her, so, therefore, this is made to boldly take on the F.B.I and to confront the racial and religious profile.

London To Brighton

London to Brighton relates to how life is truly like in British Society, this film is known as a Social British Realist. This film is all about how an 11 years old was forced to run away with someone who she doesn't know but still had no choice, and has to pass a lot of obstacles during her way.

This film was produced none other by Ken Marshall and Paul Andrew Williams., who later on in their careers made other films such as, The Cottage, Steel Mill Pictures. London to Brighton was privately funded and had a budget from the UK film Council, which consisted of £80,000.
The Cottage

The Cottage was released in early 2008, by the same producers of London to Brighton, Ken Marshall and Paul Williams. This was a film which the producers have had in mind for quite some time but could not realise it due to not having enough money, but later on had received the money of £2.5 million, which was necessary to make the film.
The film being created is all due to the producers who thought to release London to Brighton first and make that a success and whatever money is made, it can be put into The Cottage which they did and made an even better film than before.
Shifty

The producers for Shifty were Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh. The film was realised in 2008 in late April. They only had 18 days to film Shifty on the outskirts of London, as well as that they had to ensure that they stuck to the budget of £100,000, which was funded to them by the London's microwave scheme. The microwave scheme is when a film crew are given a certain budget to create a film

Life in a Day
In Life in a Day the producers decided to make a film from different parts of the world, they believed that a crowd sourced video will interact with society in a better way, and with surprise received over 80,000 clips about a variety of ways in which people spend their days.
